Rebecca Ferrisi

Rebecca Ferrisi obtained her master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology (110/110 cum laude) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Pisa in 2019, under the supervision of Prof. Filippo Minutolo and Prof. Carlotta Granchi, with an experimental thesis entitled “Synthesis and optimization of benzoylpiperidine derivatives as Monoacylglycerol Lipase (MAGL) inhibitors”. In May 2023, she received the PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the doctoral school in “Science of Drug and Bioactive Substances” of the University of Pisa, under the supervision of Prof. Clementina Manera, defending a thesis entitled “Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of allosteric and bitopic ligands for novel strategies targeting G protein-coupled receptors”. During her PhD, she spent a research period in Prof. Robert Laprairie’s group at the College of Pharmacy & Nutrition at the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon, Canada). Since July 2023, she is a postdoctoral researcher (type A) at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Milan, under the supervision of Prof. Clelia Dallanoce and Prof. Marco De Amici for a project on the design, synthesis, and applications in drug discovery and development of stable and unstable isotope-labeled ligands.
